Ryan Reynolds releases Deadpool’s ‘No Good Deed’ short, first shown ahead of ‘Logan’

Our favorite foul-mouthed, fourth-wall-breaking super hero is back in what will surely be another hit. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool in a sequel to the R-rated box office hit, projected to be released some time in 2018.

But we don’t have to wait another year to get a glimpse at the Merc with a Mouth: X-Men fans flocking to theaters to see Logan were surprised when a cold-open clip featuring Deadpool himself was played ahead of the film.

The internet being what it is, it didn’t take long for the clip to leak online. Rather than stumbling to take it down, Fox and team Deadpool did the kind thing and uploaded the official short, titled “No Good Deed,” to Youtube for all to see.

In it, Wade Wilson is seen walking down a city street when he notices an older gentleman being mugged in an alley. He springs to action, running to a nearby telephone booth where he proceeds to take quite a long time to change into his Deadpool outfit with the Superman theme song playing in the background; all the while you can hear the old man struggling to fend of his attacker.

Superman-inspired Deadpool short ahead of Logan, arguably the best X-Men film? Yeah, we can’t complain!

Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters in 2018. Logan is out now and is absolutely worth seeing!
