Star Wars hype is in overdrive, with the expected release of the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi just weeks away along with the hugely anticipated Star Wars Celebration convention held by Disney and LucasFilms. Now, hot on the heals of the massive success of the franchise’s first spinoff film, Rogue One, comes the untitled Han Solo standalone film!

We’re thrilled to be seeing our first glimpse into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, one of the most iconic ships in scifi, filled to the brim with actors set to portray beloved characters and new additions!

Joining Alden Ehrenreich (young Han Solo), Donald Glover (young Lando Calrissian), Emilia Clarke and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (characters unknown) are co-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. And we can’t forget Woody Harrelson (Garris Shrike, Han’s mentor) and, stuck in the back, Chewie, played by Joonas Suotamo in Star Wars 7 and 8.

No sign of Thandie Newton, who recently joined the cast as an unnamed character.

Production recently began on the film, which means that each of the actors in the shot are hard at work bringing the latest Star Wars Story to life. With the film set to hit theaters just under a year and a half from now, it’s safe to say we’ll start hearing more about the film, including a title, plot, and character details, in the coming months.

The untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story is set to hit theaters on May 25th, 2018!
