Tour the magical ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ set in new behind-the-scenes video


The official Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Twitter account today shared a new behind-the-scenes video, this time revealing many pieces of the incredible set designed and built for the eighth Harry Potter story!

In the video, set designer Christine Jones discusses the process utilized to bring J.K. Rowling’s “living, breathing” wizarding world to life on stage! From initial concept sketches and scale models to completed sets filled with actors in characters, the video has it all:

The video also shows movement director Steven Hoggett and play director John Tiffany coaching the film’s cast on how to utilize and interact with the various sets and props created for the story.

Cursed Child is the first canon story to feature Harry Potter and his family after the epilogue in Deathly Hallows. The story will unfold as a stageplay in London, where previews began in June. The play officially debuts on July 30th, and a published version of the play script will hit store shelves the following day for fans who aren’t able to make it to the West End to see the show live.
