Nickelodeon keeps 90s nostalgia alive with news of a taping of ‘Double Dare’ at San Diego Comic Con!


Nickelodeon is about to rock every ’90s child’s nostalgic dreams at this year’s San Diego Comic Con! First came the announcement that their booth and presence at the annual pop culture convention will be largely ’90s-themed, featuring classics such as All ThatHey Arnold!Legends of the Hidden Temple, and more.

Now, the channel is announcing that a new episode of Double Dare, the family trivia and game show pitting two teams against each other in often-messy challenges and obstacle courses, will be filmed live during Comic Con! Legendary host Marc Summers will return for the 30th anniversary celebration, which will be streamed live on The Splat’s Facebook page at 9:30pm PST on July 22nd.

The live show will reportedly feature challenges including the Wringer, Down the Hatch, the Human Hamster Wheel and the Double Dare Nose!

This year’s Comic Con booth will include 1,800 square feet of 90s nostalgia, including a virtual reality Legends of the Hidden Temple experience taking fans into the upcoming live-action movie, life-size replicas of the Hey Arnold! stoop and Double Dare nose, and plenty of ’90s-themed merchandise for purchase!
