J.K. Rowling reveals that a Patronus quiz will be coming to Pottermore following new Ilvermorny sorting quiz

Harry Potter fans were tickled when author J.K. Rowling revealed a detailed backstory and sorting quiz for the American equivalent of Hogwarts, Ilvermorny!

Today, the author assured curious fans on Twitter that we’ll someday see a Patronus quiz on Pottermore!

As die-hard Potterheads know, a Patronus is the result of the powerful Patronus Charm, which summons a corporeal guardian taking the shape of an animal that embodies the caster. In the series, Harry and his companions regularly use the charm to ward against Dementors and to send messages between members of the Order of the Phoenix.

Patronuses have been known to take the shape of various real and fantastical creatures, including swans, goats, phoenixes, otters, stags, hares, cats, wolves, dogs, and even a giant!

There’s no telling when the new quiz will hit Pottermore, but it’s good to know it’s in the works!
