Byan Cranston (‘Breaking Bad’) joins ‘Power Rangers’ as Zordon alongside new film poster

Beloved Malcom in the Middle father and feared Breaking Bad drug kingpin actor Bryan Cranston is officially joining the upcoming Power Rangers movie as Zordon, creator of the Power Rangers!

In previous Power Ranger iterations, Zordon appeared face-only as a holographic adviser and mentor to the Rangers. The character plays a key role in the show and movie universe as the individual who chooses new members to don the colored suits.

It remains unclear if the upcoming film will take the traditional path of only showing Zordon’s face, or if we’ll see a full-body or even physical appearance from the character.

This won’t be Cranston’s first foray into the decades-old franchise! The actor voiced villains Snizard and Twin Man in the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

A new poster showing silhouettes of the titular characters was also released:

Filming is currently underway as Lionsgate prepares to release the film in theaters on March 24th, 2017!
