New content from J.K. Rowling will accompany upcoming ‘Fantastic Beasts’ book re-release

The Potter news never stops! The series’ North American book publisher has announced that J.K. Rowling will be re-releasing the Harry Potter companion guide, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, chock-full of new content!

Fantastic Beasts, which inspired the upcoming movie trilogy of the same name, was first released in 2001. It was “written by” Newt Scamander (J.K. Rowling) as a book wizards-in-training purchased for their schooling at Hogwarts.

The companion guide offered information on many of the fantastical creatures found within the wizarding world, accompanied by hand-written notes and scribbles from Harry and friends.

Here’s what we know the new edition will contain:

  • A new foreword from J.K. Rowling
  • A new cover design
  • Original illustrations and doodles by J.K. Rowling

The new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be released on March 14th, 2017, four months after Rowling’s film hits theaters!
