Yesterday we brought you a first look at the actors playing Harry, Ginny, and their son, Albus Severus, in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. We weren’t expecting another look so soon, but Pottermore surprised us yet again!

This time around, we’re getting a look at Ron, Hermione, and their daughter Rose. Not only do we get a glimpse at the characters in costume, but Pottermore has revealed some backstory to where the couple is 19 years later and the young woman their daughter has become.

Paul Thornley on Ron and Hermione’s relationship:

“It’s 19 years later when the play begins. Ron is married to Hermione Granger and they’re now the Granger-Weasleys. Our magnificent daughter Rose Granger-Weasley is about to start at Hogwarts, which is obviously a big day for everyone.”

Cherrelle Skeete on Rose:

“Rose is ambitious, obviously her mum is Hermione so she’s got a lot to live up to. I think they’re quite similar in the fact they put a lot of pressure on themselves. And she just wants to do the right thing.”

J.K. Rowling on Rose:

“Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply loveable.”

We recently posted about the stunning statue and sign erected outside of the play’s venue featuring Albus Severus sitting inside of a Golden Snitch-like nest.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will unfold as a play in London, with previews beginning in June and the official launch in July. Rowling and team will be releasing the play’s script on July 30th for fans who aren’t able to make it to London to see the show live!
