‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate,’ the franchise’s latest installment, is announced!

The latest installment in the hugely popular Assassin’s Creed franchise has been announced! Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a follow up to 2014’s Unity and will transport gamers to 19th century London, where they’ll play as Jacob Frye, a Robin Hood-esque gangster.

London. 1868. The Industrial Revolution. An age of invention and prosperity, built on the backs of working class slaves. As gangster assassin Jacob Frye, you will recruit your gang to fight for justice on behalf of the oppressed working class. Lead the underworld to take back London in a visceral adventure filled with action, intrigue and brutal combat.

The new installment doesn’t only come with new stories, missions, and characters, but new features, including:

  • Rope launcher. Use this grappling hook-like device to move across cities and buildings.
  • New travel methods. Trains, carriages, and other vehicles will help players quickly travel through the world.
  • Interactive environment. Utilize your surroundings during encounters with those you’re fighting against.

Ubisoft released a story-driven announcement trailer as long as a nine-minute-long gameplay trailer, showing a variety of new features, missions, and locales.
