Fresh off the Slab Horror Movie News December 28, 2013: ‘Amityville’, ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’, and ‘Easter Sunday’

the-amityville-horror-wallpapers_5A while ago, there were rumors of a found footage Amityville film called Amityville: The Lost Tapes. The film was put on hold until now. Dimension along with Blumhouse Productions will be releasing the film which now be known as simply Amityville. 

The upcoming film will focus on the events directly after the time of the original The Amityvill Horror book and movie. The film will consist of found footage dating back to 1976. The film is set to be released on January 2, 2015. You can see the synopsis here:

An ambitious female television news intern, on the verge of breaking the most famous haunted house case in the world, leads a team of journalists, clergymen and paranormal researchers into an investigation of the bizarre events that will come to be known as The Amityville Horror … only to unwittingly open a door to the unreal that she may never be able to close.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

Two new clips have been released for the next sequel in the Paranormal Activity franchise. The film is set to be released in theaters in January. You can see the clips  below:

Easter Sunday

A new trailer has been released for the Easter inspired horror flick, Easter Sunday. The film is a throwback to 80’s slasher films and stars two 80’s horror icons: Robert Z’Dar and Ari Lehman. You can see the synopsis and trailer below:

 It’s been 24 years since the deranged serial killer Douglas Fisher was executed by police on Easter night. This year, a group of hard partying teenagers not only raise some hell, but literally raise the dead! The teens accidentally conjure the spirit of Douglas Fisher … aka the bunny masked killer! These teens have until Midnight on Easter to stop the evil bunny slasher, or he will tear their town, and everyone in it into pieces.
