Are you looking for a way to pass a nearly three month hiatus after Once Upon a Time literally twisted a dagger to the back? I highly recommend you check out the podcast Greetings from Storybrooke. They’ll be adding content during the break, but I know I’ve had a lot of fun going back through their older episodes and remembering favorite moments and episodes. Once is a show that’s inspired many, many podcasts and a myriad of other fan outpourings. However, unlike other casts, Greetings from Storybrooke remains funny, friendly, and laid back no matter what the show dishes out that week. They’re less invested in single characters, single ships, or single theories than others which leads instead to a very consistent celebration of a favorite show.
I had the chance to visit with hosts Bill Meek and Anne Marie DeSimone last week to talk about Greetings from Storybrooke, podcasting, fandom, and, of course, Once Upon a Time. There were a few spoilers along the way, so if you care and aren’t caught up on the show, you probably want to come back once you’ve finished up through 3×10, The New Neverland. I apologize for the quality of my mic during the recording and thank Bill (as should you) for jumping in to help with the technical difficulties.
