5 Days left for ‘The Squidder’ Kickstarter Campaign: Check it out and help it out here!

A few months ago I posted an interview with Menton3 which you can find here. Now, my friends at 44Flood have another project in the works. Ben Templesmith, New York Times best selling comic book artist is looking to release his first new creator-owned comic in five years! It is called The Squidder and you can help see the project be released in all its glory!

A Kickstarter campaign has been created for the comic and there are only 5 days left for you to aid in this comic release!

Here are some of the details about the comic (all information is from the official Kickstarter page):

fcfe17781bb8d6f34c3a0ad9db2b51d0_largeTHE SQUIDDER is an original graphic novel about an old soldier from a forgotten war in a post-apocalyptic world that has left him behind. The book promises heavy horror, fantasy, and Lovecraftian elements, as well as black humor.

THE SQUIDDER will be a limited run 8.5×12″ 108 page (NOW UPGRADED TO 144 PAGES) hardcover graphic novel written and drawn by Ben Templesmith, New York Times best selling comic book artist (creator/co-creator of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT with Steve Niles, FELL with Warren Ellis, WORMWOOD: GENTLEMAN CORPSE, and WELCOME TO HOXFORD) in his first new creator-owned traditional comic in five years!

We’re also offering a special limited collectible KRAKEN edition of THE SQUIDDER that will have the hardcover book housed in a beautiful slipcase that features exclusive art with an embossed, numbered, and signed plate included in the book. And don’t forget the two Kickstarter exclusive prints, Squid Mommy and Squid Daddy!

In the vein of Mad Max meets Cthulhu, THE SQUIDDER will explore themes of a changing world, propaganda, and the nature of control via the main character. We’ll follow this journey of unfinished business through a world now alien and destroyed by a war which humanity lost generations ago against the almighty squid.

It’s Mad Max meeting up with Cthulhu….I think it’s required reading.

The folks behind this project have also put together a YouTube video for promotional purposes. You can see it here and you can also check out an amazing gallery of images.
