Fresh off the Slab is back with news from sequels of creepy ass movies and news from original movies! Take a peek and let me know what you think!
Wolf Creek 2
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I found the original Wolf Creek to be an insanely creepy movie with one of the most disturbing scenes involving a head on a stick. It’s a messed up film that made me decide that I have no need to ever explore the outback. Seriously, no thanks.
Well, we have received words that the sequel to the film has been picked up for US distribution. While no date has been revealed, it is official that the movie will have US distribution. The film stars John Jarratt, Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn, and Philipe Klaus.
Lured by the promise of an Australian holiday, backpackers Rutger, Katarina, and Paul visit the notorious Wolf Creek Crater. Their dream Outback adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter the site’s most infamous local, the last man any traveler to the region ever wants to meet; Mick Taylor (John Jarratt). As the backpackers flee, Mick pursues them on an epic white knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. Only one will remain to be dragged back to his lair to witness the true magnitude of his monstrosity. And if the last man standing is to have any hope of surviving where no one else has survived before, he’ll have to use every ounce of cunning to outwit the man behind the monster and become every bit as ruthless as the monster inside the man.
Seed 2: The New Breed
The first official trailer has been released for Seed 2: The New Breed. You can find it below!
The film stars Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Hatchet III), Christa Campbell (Drove Angry, Wicker Man, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams), Nick Prinzipè (Laid to Rest), Jared Demetri Luciano, Manoush, Natalie Scheetz, Annika Strauss, and Sarah Hayden. The movie was produced by Uwe Boll.
Coming back from her bachelor party in Las Vegas Christine (Natalie Scheetz) and her friends Olvia (Christa Campbell), Barbara (Sarah Hayden) and Claire (Annika Strauss) are driving through the hot desert of Nevada. But they are not alone… Serial killer Max Seed is back and he brought the whole family!
The Conjuring Spin-offs?
It’s not current news that a sequel to James Wan’s The Conjuring is in the works, but word has now been released that 3 spin-off films have been given the green light. One of those stories will be about the Annabelle doll (which is extremely creepy in its own right). The Annabelle story will be headed up by The Conjuring‘s director of photography: John R. Leonetti.
If you’ve read my reviews or news articles about The Conjuring, you have read that I was able to attend seminars presented by the Warren’s (the investigators in the film). Annabelle was one of the creepier stories that the presented, so I am more than a bit excited that I will be able to see the tale on the big screen.
FYI….Annabelle was a Raggedy Ann doll.
