We are winding down to the premiere of The Walking Dead and even now, more casting updates have been released! Two important roles have been filled and will be bringing two beloved characters into Season 4 of the show.
The roles of Dr. Eugene Porter and Abraham Ford have been filled by Josh McDermitt (Retired at 35) and Michael Cudlitz (Southland, Lost). Producers made these announcements at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 12th, with Michael Cudlitz being a surprise announcement. Both characters are being filled as series regular roles.
Eugene is a former high school science teacher who claims to know what caused the zombie outbreak. He travels with sports coach/Army Sgt. Abraham Ford (Cudlitz) and Rosita (new recurring player Christian Serratos). Ford is protecting Eugene since he has some knowledge that may help all survivors. The trio meets up with Rick as they travel the hostile lands.
Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, Chad Coleman, and Sonequa Martin-Green. The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Tom Luse, and Greg Nicotero.
The hit zombie series has it’s Season 4 premiere tonight on AMC at 9pm.
