In our first featured author week interview with James Dashner, the Lytherus team travels back in time to July’s San Diego Comic Con, where we sat down with the I and Eye of Minds author to discuss The Maze Runner trilogy, the upcoming hugely anticipated adaptation of the first novel, The Maze Runner, as well as a quick conversation about The Eye of Minds, our focus during this week’s featured author week offerings!
The interview specifically touches on a number of new and interesting topics for Maze Runner book and movie fans, from what the prequel almost was and could have been, to the Maze Runner movie and how it came to be after stalling for two years before director Wes Ball came on board. Dashner could not speak more highly of the film, throughout the interview referring to Ball’s vision as “exciting, amazing, real”, and stating that Ball has “the same was of seeing it as I see it”. This is a movie interview you won’t want to miss!
The interview is an audio interview featuring managing book editor Lauren Zurchin, editor in chief Mike Macauley, and James Dashner:
