A new round of set photos and a new video have surfaced from the Chinese-themed set of Transformers 4 showing a variety of new vehicles and alien spacecraft, as well as explosions and filming in progress. Michael Bay can be seen in the director’s chair as he overlooks filming on set.
Earlier this month we reported the first official film poster as well as a confirmation on the film’s official title, Transformers: Age of Extinction.
While the Chinese writing and Asian-themed trucks might fool you into believing that the filming is ongoing in China or somewhere in Asia, Bay and crew are currently still filming within the United States. However, much of Transformers 4 will take place in China, with an on-going Chinese reality TV show current airing in search of extras to appear in the film.
In addition to the set photos, new video from the set shows a major explosion, true to Michael Bay’s style, at the Chinese silos shown in the set photos below. Caution: if you’re sensitive to cursing or are in an environment where this isn’t acceptable, you may want to mute the video!
Transformers 4, an almost-reboot with an all new cast, will hit theaters on June 27th, 2014!
