Fall preview of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ gives first look at new footage, cast interviews, and behind the scenes

agents-of-shieldABC aired its Fall Previews last night and among the footage was a six minute long Fall Preview of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the first show to take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (a continuation of what we see in the Marvel films). The clip features a new first-look at scenes from the show, interviews with the cast, and behind the scenes information. All of the footage shown is footage from the show’s pilot episode.

Each actor has time to introduce and discuss their show’s character, allowing the audience to learn about and experience each character. Most importantly, Clark Gregg and the Fall Preview interviewer are quick to address the elephant in the room: Coulson is alive! They discuss the topic, although we don’t get far in the conversation as it’s clearly a plotline they’ll be slowly revealing throughout the show’s run. The S.H.I.E.L.D. actors also address the fact that while their primary task finding and monitoring new superheroes, no member of the team is a super themselves, which should make for interesting story as the show progresses.

Clark Gregg says it best when addressing the show’s action and CGI, stating: “It delivers on the special effects. I think there’s a level of action and special effects that I’ve never seen on television.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to premiere on ABC on September 24th!
