Head to Platform 9¾ – all Hogwarts students head to school today!

harry-potter-hogwarts-invitationToday, hundreds of students head back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry via Platform 9¾ at London’s King’s Cross Station! It was fifteen years ago to date that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone saw Harry and friends head to Hogwarts for the first time.

Since that day, millions of kids, teens, and adults around the globe have dreamed of getting their own Hogwarts invitation — to head to Platform 9¾, board the Hogwarts Express, take the boats across the lake with Hagrid, and be sorted in the Great Hall!

But before we get to that… we sing!

Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they’re bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we’ve forgot,
Just do your best, we’ll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.

To celebrate fifteen years of Harry Potter and the arrival of the first day of this year’s school session at Hogwarts, we ask you:

What house have you been sorted into and why?
