Fresh off the Slab Horror Movie News August 30, 2013: ‘Bloody Homecoming’, ‘The Hunted’, and ‘Carrie’

Fresh off the Slab has returned and it’s looking like an interesting week in horror! Take a peek and let me know what you want to see!

Bloody Homecoming

Bloody Homecoming is scheduled to be have a VOD and DVD release on September 24th and a trailer has popped up to get everyone ready for the film’s release.

A group of seniors anxiously prepare for Homecoming night in the sleepy town of Winston. Three years after a tragic accident left a student dead at the annual dance, they find themselves haunted by a deadly visitor from their past. Unable to bury old demons, it looks like it’s finally payback time, and someone’s out for blood. Before the night is over, the halls will run red as they are stalked, staked and butchered by a relentless, savage killer bent on revenge. They must stop whoever is hunting them, or this year’s dance is going to be a killer.

The Hunted

Do you horror fans remember Arkin, the survivor of both The Collection and the sequel The Collector? Well, the man who played Arkin (Josh Stewart) has jumped behind the camera and filmed the found footage horror film The Hunted. A poster has been released and you can see it here.

In an attempt to land their own TV show, Jake (Josh Stewart) and Stevie (Ronnie Gene Blevins) head to the dense, secluded mountains of West Virginia. Equipped with only their bow and cameras, they have three days to kill a monster buck big enough to grab the attention of a TV network. Once they find the massive animal, they look to strike fast. But as the sun sets, they realize they’re not alone. A supernatural force appears to be lurking in the vacant woods… and now they’re the ones being hunted.

Three days ago, trailer #2 was released for the upcoming remake of Carrie. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much new to see, but it is a new trailer. Take a look and tell me if you are going to see this remake. Tell me, do you think Carrie needed to be remade?
