‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ now titled ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’

Dead-Men-Tell-No-TalesAn editor at This Is Infamous were able to squeeze quite the exclusive out of the Pirates of the Caribbean 5 directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg: a title!

In an interview earlier today, the directors revealed that the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean installment would be titled ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’. The interviewer goes on to state that the duo “seemed genuinely enthused about the script they’ll be working with,” which is good news when you consider that the quality of the Pirates films have been declining since the first sequel.

The film is still in pre-production, with script work being headed by screenplay writer Jeff Nathanson, who is new to the Pirates franchise but has several major films under his belt, including Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and The Terminal. A new screenplay writer may be able to breathe some much-needed fresh air into this quickly-growing-old franchise.

To date, the only actor attached to Pirates 5 is Johnny Depp, who will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, the world’s best pirate (and that’s a fact!).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is set to hit theaters in 2015.
