Entertainment Weekly has officially debuted the first public clip from Marvel’s upcoming show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! The clip comes just ahead of EW’s next issue, which profiles Joss Whedon, the mastermind behind The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the two main characters from the show.
The clip introduces us to Fitz and Simmons, the engineering and bio-chem wonder duo and members of Agent Coulson’s S.H.I.E.L.D. team, in addition to Agent Grant Ward. The clip is from the middle of the show’s first episode, showing the S.H.I.E.L.D. group first coming together on their mobile airplane-based center of operations. At the end of the clip, Agent Coulson drives into the plane’s cargo bay in a special S.H.I.E.L.D. car which he’s named Lola.
Earlier today, we wrote about the Joss Whedon featurette in the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly, in which Whedon makes some interesting comments about writing his “Everyman” characters, including Agent Phil Coulson.
