Catching up on Korra: ‘Legend of Korra’ official trailer, premiere date, and new web-only series!

legend-of-korra-book-two-spiritsThe first season of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender spin-off, Legend of Korra, finished airing in June 2012, and we’ve heard very little on season two — until recently. Nickelodeon made a big showing at this year’s San Diego Comic Con with a complete panel for the show, where the cast and crew of Korra gave fans in attendance a viewing of the entire first episode of season two.

News has been flooding out of Nickelodeon since their appearance at San Diego Comic Con, first with a trailer, then with a release date. You heard that right: we finally have a release date!

Legend of Korra: Book Two, Spirits will premiere on Nick on Friday, September 13th at 7PM!

Yahoo! released an exclusive sneak peek at the second season with their announcement of the release date. In the clip released, Korra is clearly doubting herself and her abilities. The clips shown are both fun and serious, with a lot of shots of Korra in avatar state:

“And, for the first time ever, journey into the spirit world!” Spirits will clearly be a big theme in this season of Legend of Korra, as the season is named after the spirits and the clip above is riddled with spirit appearances. What has the spirits riled up? Could it be the series’ new bad guy?

Lastly, Nickelodeon has released the second part of their ongoing Republic City Hustle web series (in which we learn how Bolin came to get Pabu!), an online-only series following Mako and Bolin in their younger years in Republic City. Part one and two of Republic City Hustle can be viewed below:

Don’t forget: Legend of Korra, Book Two: Spirits will premiere on Nickelodeon on September 13th at 7PM!
