One of my favorite Dystopian series is wrapping up this fall, and this morning the cover of the final book was revealed. Behold Allegiant, the final chapter of Veronica Roth’s Divergent Trilogy.
All of the covers have been gorgeous, but I found the symbol on this one a little confusing. Fortunately, Roth anticipated her fan’s curiosity and addressed it straightaway.
A short note about that symbol: no, it is not a faction symbol. It is, however, a symbol that appears in the book. I can’t really share more than that– you’ll have to read it for yourself! (I can’t wait for that either!)
I don’t know about you, but teases like that make October 22nd seem even further away! At least we have movie news to occupy the time with. The screen adaptation of the first book, Divergent, is well under way. Probably releasing in March, the movie has an impressive cast with the likes of Kate Winslet and Ashley Judd. Our first look at Shailene Woodley as Triss came a few weeks ago from Entertainment Weekly. It is from a scene readers will instantly recognize.
