A new batch of set photos, official stills, and a filming video from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have hit the web! The photos show Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) and a pre-Electro Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) filming together, confirming that the two will meet story-wise before Dillon’s experiment-gone-wrong turns him into the Ultimate Electro (also pictured in the gallery).
It would appear that the Max Dillon and Spider-Man meeting was a result of a set of blueprints being carried by the nerdy-looking scientist. The content of the blueprints is unclear, but fans are speculating that they relate to the experiment that will eventually turn the character into Spider-Man’s nemesis, the Ultimate Electro.
The reasoning for the “London Calling” directors chairs? That’s the fake name being used by the film crew in order to keep production a secret. Doesn’t seem to be working too well, as this isn’t the first batch of photos to be snagged of the cast and crew filming.
Video of the filming reveals Spider-Man returning Dillon’s blueprints and “fixing” the scientist’s hair and jacket after some sort of confrontation caused Dillon to become disheveled. Spider-Man speaks briefly with the scientist before taking off:
Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb has tweeted two new photos from the set, both of which are as mysterious as prior photos tweeted by the director. Both photos feature pre-historic animal remains, including the tusks of a wooly mammoth and the gold-plated skull of a saber-tooth tiger:
