It’s been less than a week since the first set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier set photos hit the web… and another batch is already here! Captain America 2 seems to be making a habit of filming in public places, so we’re sure this won’t be the last we’ll see of the cast and crew shooting the latest Marvel film.
Like the first set of photos, this gallery shows Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow/Natasha Romanov) together. The two appear to be filming a scene in which they seemingly-angrily confront an S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Sitwell, played by Max Hernandez. The photos show Steve Rogers grabbing Agent Sitwell, Sitwell being thrown/launched backward, and Natasha Romanov grinning.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier jumps ahead in the Marvel timeline, bringing us in line with post-Avengers events. Scarlett Johansson’s character will play a major role in the film, which explains why she’s made an appearance in every set photo we’ve seen so far. We’ll be introduced to a new villain, The Winter Soldier (the film’s namesake), who will give Captain America a run for his money. Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to release on April 4th, 2014!
