First look at Jamie Foxx as supervillain Electro in ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ from the film’s NYC set

High quality photos from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have surfaced, revealing the incredible prosthetics of Jamie Foxx in his role as Electro for the upcoming Spider-Man sequel.

The photos surfaced from the film’s New York City set showing Foxx’s character in what appears to be The Ultimate Electro-style make-up, partially covered by a black hoodie.

Fans of the movie series won’t recognize Electro, who wasn’t featured in the original Spider-Man trilogy. However, Electro has made several appearances in the comic book series.

Electro, known as Max Dillon in the comics, is a supervillain and enemy of Spider-Man. Electro gained the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning while working on a power line. The Ultimate Electro was “created” as a result of a procedure aimed at amplifying Electro’s abilities.

Electro won’t be the only supervillain Spider-Man faces in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Rhino, played by Paul Giamatti, will also be gunning for Spider-Man’s life.
