Marvel offering another chance for comic fans to get their hands on 700 free #1 Marvel issues

700 free marvel comicsMarvel recently launched an unprecedented “#1” campaign, offering new and old readers a chance at receiving 700 free Marvel comics through digital comic store Comixology — and now they’re doing it again! The promotion includes all of Marvel’s #1 issues, and it’s clear that Marvel’s goal here is to hook new readers by introducing them to their stories for free. This offer includes many Marvel fan favorites, including all of the new Marvel NOW! issues.

Marvel and Comixology’s first attempt at giving away the 700 free comics was so well received that readers actually crashed Comixology’s servers, preventing many from getting their hands on the free comics. To make amends, Marvel and Comixology are teaming up once again to offer the free comics — but the offer doesn’t last forever.

Fans interested in receiving the comics will have to sign up on the Marvel promotions page by the end of the day on April 9th. Marvel and Comixology will contact fans who signed up for the offer on April 11th, allowing you access to the Marvel Comics app, where you’ll then choose the comics you’re interested in from their offering of 700 issues (or, if you’re really eager, you can snag all 700). Once you receive the confirmation email, you’ll only have 48 hours to respond and grab your comics before the offer expires, so don’t delay!

Which comics are you going after? Planning to grab just a few, or all 700? Do you think you’d be more likely to start new comic, book, TV, and movie series if studios started doing this more frequently?
