New Star Wars: Episode 8 rumors!

cuaronStar Wars rumors continue to flood the internet, exciting fans worldwide. At this point it’s safe to assume that we will catch wind of a new Star Wars related development  or rumor almost daily. Today’s word comes from Market Saw, who claims that Alfonso Cuaron(director of 2004’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and 2006’s Children of Men) is the top contender as director of Star Wars: Episode 8.  Many(including myself) have plenty of reasons to get excited. The third installment in the Harry Potter franchise(and the only one Cuaron directed) was by far the strongest entry in the series, so I have high hopes if this rumor is indeed true.

Also in the news is the potential involvement of well-known actor Simon Pegg, who is supposedly involved in the new trilogy. No other details are known at this point, but you can bet that as soon as we hear any official word, you will too.

Is Cuaron a good fit for Star Wars? What about Pegg? Should he join the Star Wars universe or stick with lens flares and Vulcans?
