Rumor: ‘Star Wars: Episode 7’ to draw from the Expanded Universe books?

Star Wars: Episode 7 rumors continue to circulate and evolve, pleasing and shocking Star Wars fans everywhere. According to the star_wars_euentertainment website Showbiz 411, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are set to reprise their career-making roles as Luke Skywalker and his sister, Leia.

In addition to this news, we have also caught word that the new trilogy will center around Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin Solo, the protagonists of most of the EU (Expanded Universe) story lines. Anakin Solo, the youngest of the Solo children, may be replaced by Luke’s son Ben Skywalker, who is also featured prominently in EU story lines such as Fate of the Jedi.

For now, treat this as rumor. But it is certainly exciting to speculate what, or who, rather, the new trilogy will center around. Personally, I would LOVE to see such story lines like Legacy of the Force on the big screen, so I hope there is at least a grain of truth in this latest development.

Well, what do you all think? Yes or no to an EU film?
