Fresh from the Slab: Horror movie news February 15, 2013 ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’, ‘The Factory’, and ‘Dark Skies’

Well, Fresh from the Slab has returned after the interesting day that is Valentine’s Day (I personally believe that we need more Valentine’s Day inspired movies like My Bloody Valentine). Take a look at the horror movie news below and let me know “what are you looking forward to?”

The Last Exorcism Part II

A new UK trailer for Ed Gass-Donnelly’s The Last Exorcism Part II has been released and you can see it below. The movie is scheduled for release on March 1st in the US and March 15th in the UK.

Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.

The Factory

The DVD/Blu Ray release of The Factory is scheduled for February 19th, but you can get a teaser now. The first 5 minutes of the film have been released for your viewing pleasure. Bloody-Disgusting posted this exclusive video.

Dark Skies

A new poster has been released for the upcoming alien/horror flick. The movie opens in theaters on February 22nd. You can check out the synopsis and poster here:

Revolves around a suburban couple whose lives become a nightmare when a terrifying alien presence enters their home each night to prey upon their children. Increasingly isolated from skeptical friends and neighbors, the couple is forced to take matters into their own hands to save their family.
