Harrison Ford will return as Han Solo in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ (rumor)

star-wars-harrison-ford-as-hans-solo-00With J.J. Abrams joining the team a few weeks ago, Star Wars: Episode 7 looked like it was getting a start with a bang. Now, rumors abound that Harrison Ford will be returning as Han Solo in the upcoming sequel. Latino Review‘s scooper El Mayimbe released the news in an interview on Fox News, stating that it is a “done deal.” Lucasfilm has yet to confirm the news, which is still being treated as a rumor.

Back when Star Wars: Episode 7 was first announced (after the announcement that Disney had purchased the series), Harrison Ford had stated that he would be interested in returning as the infamous smuggler, depending on who would be in the director’s chair.

So, how does Harrison Ford’s potential return to the series make you feel? Do you think it is a wise move by Abrams?

Awesome. I think JJ will put a fresh spin on the franchise, but he seems to really understand the dynamics that make SW the legend that it’s become. I think it’s a wise choice to bring back the key members of the original cast to not only satisfy the old school fans, but to reintroduce them to people who may not be the devout lovers of the series and tie generations together. Good call.
