“Tron: Legacy” Sequel Development Has Begun… Again!

Disney is hard at work reviving development on Tron 3, the proposed sequel to the studio’s 2010 reboot, Tron: Legacy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations with screenwriter Jesse Wigutow (Peter and the Starcatchers, Eragon) and Disney have begun.  The previous draft was written by David DiGilio.

Of course, it is much too early reveal any sort of plot details so we do not know if it has any connection to the TV series Tron: Uprising.  THR  says the new powerhouse at Disney has a “renewed urgency” tomake the film, even considering the reboot ultimately earned $400 million worldwide, despit a slow start and mediocre reviews.
