I have to admit it, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first season of American Horror Story. Why? I’m not sure. Something about the show just didn’t speak to me or I didn’t find it all that interesting. So how can you garner the attention of someone like me?
By announcing that Ian McShane will be guest starring in a least one episode of the second season of American Horror Story. McShane first jumped onto my television when he played the role of Al Swearengen on HBO’s Deadwood, one of the most unforgettable, foul-mouthed characters ever. He also starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Death Race, and numerous others.
American Horror Story creator and producer Ryan Murphy tweeted the following yesterday: “Guess who’s coming to American Horror Story Asylum to tussle with Jessica Lange? Legendary Golden Globe winner Ian McShane!”
I can’t wait to see Ian McShane go head to head with with Jessica Lange’s character. What a potential cataclysmic combination: Jessica Lange’s bitchiness from the first season of American Horror Story and Ian McShane’s volatile, vindictive, scheming role as Al Swearengen.
American Horror Story: Asylum premieres on October 17 on FX.
Who else thinks this is epic news?
