SDCC12: Neon Alley coming to a PlayStation 3 near you!

If you have not already heard about Neon Alley, it’s a channel which will broadcast anime 24-hours a day courtesy of Viz Media. You can watch high definition, English dubbed, uncut anime on Neon Alley in the US and Canada. It has been announced that you will be able to access this channel exclusively on the PlayStation 3 for only $6.99 a month. There will be minimal advertising, probably similar to Hulu, but at that price it is well worth it. You’ll need to sign up from the Neon Alley website before you can access the channel on your PS3 and you’ll receive a 1-week free trial offer when the channel launches.

Not only will you be able to check out anime 24/7, but they’ll also occasionally be showing animated shorts and OVAs, music videos (of opening/closing songs in anime), live action martial arts films, behind the scenes featurettes and industry news, and much more. Check out Neon Alleys official news source AnimeNewsNetwork for any updates on the channel as well as contests/sweepstakes, and breaking news.

Here are some of the officially announced shows that will be broadcast:

  • Berserk: The Egg of the King
  • Bleach
  • Blue Exorcist
  • Death Note
  • InuYasha
  • InuYasha: The Final Act
  • Kekkaishi
  • Lagrange: The Flowe of Rin-ne
  • Naruto
  • Naruto Shippuden
  • Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
  • Tiger & Bunny
  • Vampire Knight
  • Zetman

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to marathon anime all day on Neon Alley. Sure, you can watch shows on in a handful of other places already, but on Neon Alley you can actually discover new shows you might not have seen or heard of before.
