Ubisoft is hard at work tweaking and putting the final touches onto their upcoming title, Assassin’s Creed III.  This year, Comic-Con attendees were given an exclusive sneak peek at the gameplay of the upcoming title.

Sadly, we do not have the video available for viewing, but we can talk about the details that were shown.

Check out the video below:

The main goal with AC3 is to keep the core aspects of the game, without repeating any old content at the same time.  This sounds pretty difficult,  but we are confident that they can deliver.

Moving on, the  live stage demo showed us the exact feel of the game.  Everything from running through a city, to tree climbing.  We were even introduced to a new way to assassinate your enemy, the rope dart.  Shooting this at your enemy will strangle them, then you will jump off the ledge of the tree, which will cause them to die a slow, painful, hanging death.  We also witnessed the newest piece of the assassin arsenal – the bow and arrow.  This worked exactly how you think it should work, but the best part is how you can pull of silent kills and still use the bow to attract your enemies and lure them to their death.  Not to mention, hunting animals in the wild.

The developers also did not want to leave us out of any combat.  We got to see Connor slash his enemies apart with his dual wielding tomahawk and his dual counter attacks.  Chaining the attacks together was a spectacular sight to see and we can’t wait for it to go live so we can do it ourselves.

Although we are still quite some time (roughly five three months) away from release, they guarantee that tenured fans of the franchise and newcomers alike will both enjoy this game equally.
