THREE Avatar Sequels On The Way?

Exciting news broke today! Sigourney Weaver, one of the key characters in James Cameron’s Avatar, has revealed that three sequels to the 2009 blockbuster are on the way! Not only that, but she also let slip that James Cameron wants to shoot them back-to-back!

This is exciting but unexpected news. Previously, fans were under the impression that only two sequels would be made, bringing an Avatar trilogy full circle.  Now, we have news directly from one of the cast members that a total of four Avatar films will make their way to audiences.

We won’t see Avatar 2 until a few years from now, but this news is enough to get fans pumped.

What do you all think? Should James Cameron make three more Avatar films?

    They would have it improve on the characters and plot to make any sequel, nevermind 3 of them, successful. The first had the visual effects magic and awesome mythology to make up for the average characters and plot, but such magic only works for the first film

    Since the first Avatar was a cross between “Dances with Wolves” and “The Matrix,” James Cameron should make Avatar 2 a cross between “Total Recall” and “Logan’s Run” or “Soylent Green.”  Or even better, a counter-force of Na’vi super solders takes revenge on earth only to be thwarted by “Gia” (mother earth).  And in the 3rd Avatar the two planetary life forces “go-at-it.” The title could be “Ewya vs. Gia: the final battle.” Eh, eh?
