Casting Update for Hatchet III

After the success of the VOD and DVD release of Hatchet II, Hatchet III has been picked up and is scheduled to being shooting in New Orleans next week. Adam Green brings Victor Crawley, the newest addition to slasher movie icons, back to the big screen. Horror movie alumns have been joining the cast which includes returning stars Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder.  Other stars include Derek Mears (Friday the 13th – remake), Sean Whalen (Halloween 2, The People Under the Stairs), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre II), Zack Galligan (Gremlins and Waxwork), and Diane Goldner (the Feast films).

Another casting update has been announced. One-legged wrestler, Zach Gowen, will be joining the cast. Gowen, an amputee missing his left leg, wrestled for the WWE in 2003 and has joined Hatchet III‘s stunt team. Gowen previously acted in A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas and still does tour the wrestling circuit with other leagues.

Word trickled down to Fango that Zach Gowen (pictured left), an amputee missing his left leg who nonetheless grappled for the WWE back in 2003 (see a clip below), has joined HATCHET III’s stunt team. Gowen, whose screen credits include A VERY HAROLD & KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS, still wrestles for other leagues (he’s currently touring with ICP’s Juggalo Championship Wrestling) and is also a motivational speaker.

Directed by BJ McDonnell and written/produced by Adam Green, the film will continue from the end of the previous film. Here is a synopsis from
