Avengers Assemble #3 And Batman #9 Are Thrilling , Captivating Reads

Greetings, comic fans! It’s another big week for comics, with popular titles like Marvel’s Avengers Assemble #3 and Batman #9 hitting store shelves. Check out reviews for both issues below!

Avengers Assemble #3

The latest series from  Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, Avengers Assemble, is superbly written and beautifully drawn, and is  one of the best Marvel titles currently on shelves. This is a series definitely worth checking out.

The Avengers find themselves locked in combat with the powerful Zodiac, a group of beings whose powers match those of the Avengers. But it is unclear who is pulling the strings, and the Avengers struggle to discover who the Zodiac’s master is.

Bendis is best known for writing Ultimate Spider-man, but he may have outdone himself with this brilliant new series. He makes these iconic characters seem so real that they jump right off the page, and Bagley’s art is the perfect companion to his writing.

This third issue is jam-packed with incredible action and  sharp, witty dialogue while at the same time delving deeper into what is turning into an incredible story arc.

Avengers Assemble is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s best titles to date. Fans who have kept up with the series so far will be eager to see what Bendis and Bagley have in store.

Batman #9

Night of the Owls continues with Batman #9, another thrilling comic from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Those who have been following the heavily advertised crossover will want to pick up this latest installment.

The Court of Owls has infiltrated Wayne Manor, and Batman finds himself fighting for his own life and the life of his reliable butler, Alfred. The Court sends all of its assassins, known as Talons, to kill Batman and take over Gotham.

Scott Snyder was born to write Batman, and I hope he stays with this series for a long time. Batman remains one of the most difficult superheroes to write, but Snyder handles the character with unmatched skill and proves he is perfect for the job. Greg Capullo once again provides stunning artwork, brilliantly bringing this incredible battle between the Caped Crusader and the sinister Court of Owls to life.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Each new issue improves upon the last, and the surprises keep piling up.    This is a Batman title you won’t want to miss.
