Last Week In Trailers: “Prometheus”, “Snow White and the Huntsman” And More!


The international trailer for Prometheus shows even more mythology and is a bit less action-centered, giving a new look at the story. Prometheus comes out on June 8th.

The new trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman, a darker re-telling of the age-old fairy tale, surely looks promising with plenty of epic action, beautiful special effects and cinematography, and a great cast. Starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, Snow White and the Huntsman comes out on June 1st.

The first teaser for The Host (based on Stephenie Meyer’s sci-fi novel) is here at last. Though it doesn’t show much at all, the teaser gets your interest with its simplicity and  a certain level of creepiness. Directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons and Jake Abel, The Host is scheduled to come out on March 29th, 2013.

Check out this jump-worthy trailer for Chernobyl Diaries, which takes place in the city of Pripyat that was abandoned after the 1986 nuclear disaster. The trailer has a bit of a found footage feel, but it certainly plays to its advantage. Chernobyl Diaries stars Jessey McCartney, Jonathan Sadowski and Olivia Dudley, and comes out on May 25th. Here’s the synopsis from IMDB:

Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone.
