Avatar: Legend of Korra finally gets a release date… and the first two episodes will debut online this weekend!

An exclusive trailer for Avatar: The Legend of Korra recently debuted on The Wall Street Journal (of all places), bringing with it the official release date for the upcoming spin-off to the wildly successful Nickelodeon show, Avatar: The Last Airbender!

The big date: April 14th, 2012. The day is finally almost here! Check out the trailer:

Perhaps more exciting: the team behind The Legend of Korra recently asked fans to hit a milestone on the show’s official Facebook page, promising an early release of the first episode if that milestone was hit. Well, it was — and due to a recent illegal leak of the first episode, the Legend of Korra team has promised to release TWO episodes online… this weekend!

The episodes will officially launch on KorraNation.com this Saturday, March 24th. We’ll be sure to post as soon as they hit the web!

I watched the episodes yesterday, and they were great! The first episode didn’t quite live up to my expectations, but the second sure did! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

yeah I have been looking everywhere and anywhere for the past 6 months for a release date and one thing I heard that makes the most sense is they messed up on the first couple of episodes so the studio send them back to get redone.
