Jessica Lange Confirmed to be Returning to American Horror Story

Ryan Murphy, co-creator and producer of American Horror Story has confirmed that Jessica Lange will be returning for the second season of the show. He has also released that the second season will not only star Lange, but it will take a direct focus on her character, which will not be the manipulative Constance Langdon.  Lange won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the aging Southern belle, Constance.

Additional returning cast members were announced at the American Horror Story panel at the Paleyfest. All of the returning actors will be playing new parts this season. Lange is being joined by these returning veterans to the show: Evan Peters (Tate), Sarah Paulson (Billie Dean Howard), Lilly Rabe (Nora Montgomery), and Zachary Quinto.

Season two of the show will be a departure from the first season: the setting will be in a different part of the country and all returning cast will be acting as new characters.

What do you think of so many returning actors for the second season playing new roles?
