Last Week In Trailers: “Resident Evil: Retribution”

The first trailer for the fifth installment of Resident Evil, titled Retribution, has finally arrived! Even though it’s short, the trailer is very effective, especially the manner in which it is introduced – as a commercial. We also get a very short glimpse of some of the action scenes. To top it all off, the trailer is accompanied by the cool music from TRON:Legacy soundtrack. Here is the official synopsis from Screenrant:

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Resident Evil: Retribution is coming to theaters on September 14, 2012 in 3D.

Also, check out this interesting new trailer for an independent short steampunk film, The Wars of Other Men. Here is the synopsis from

Set in a pseudo early-20th century setting (the film blends aspects and imagery from both world wars), The Wars of Other Men tells the story of a squad of soldiers dispatched on a dangerous mission to obtain a powerful new weapon from the enemy.
