CATCHING FIRE Director and Screenwriter Announced

The movie version of Suzanne Collins’s blockbuster book Catching Fire is set to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2013. Up until now, this is really the only big news that’s been out on the sequel to The Hunger Games.

But now we know some more crucial info on this upcoming film. Announced yesterday, it is now confirmed that Gary Ross will return to direct the sequel of this highly anticipated movie trilogy. Considering the trailers we’ve seen for The Hunger Games so far, this is really good news, as they are intense and extremely close to the book.

The screenwriter has also been hired. Simon Beaufoy, the screenwriter known best for his work on Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours will be collaborating with the director, and hopefully the author will have some input too.

We’ll keep you updated as news comes in! The Hunger Games is set to hit theaters on March 23rd, 2012.
