Spoilers ahead!

Aired on December 2nd, “Death’s Door” is an intense, emotionally charged mid-season finale which ends with a big question that should be resolved on January 6th, when season 7 comes back. The episode never takes a break – it’s full of interesting new back story, action, heart break, and ends with a cliffhanger that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Bobby is lying unconscious at a hospital, after being shot in the head. Most of the episode takes place inside his head, as he goes through his memories, at the same time running away from a Reaper. In order to find a way out and regain consciousness, Bobby has to face his worst memory, which will reveal a shocking truth about his past.

The episode features moving performances from all of the cast, but Jim Beaver in particular, as Bobby goes through some of his worst memories. The big question is, of course, whether he will survive or not, but we will have to wait until January for that. Whatever the outcome, it is obvious by now that no one stays dead for long in Supernatural.
