This Week In Trailers: “The Hunger Games”, “Mirror Mirror” And More!

This week was awesome simply because a new trailer for The Hunger Games came out. To top it off, we have great new trailers for Mirror Mirror and Brave, and a new clip from Hugo.

The Hunger Games, the first installment in Suzanne Collins’ dystopian trilogy, is coming to life on the big screen on March 23rd, 2012. The adaptation is directed by Gary Ross, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. The trailer is great at setting up the mood without revealing too much. Any doubts I might have had about the actors disappeared – Jennifer Lawrence especially, it looks like she is going to be one terrific Katniss. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Mirror Mirror is yet another Snow White re-telling, coming our way on March 16, 2012. Starring Lily Collins, Julia Roberts and Sean Bean, this version shapes up to be quite different from all the previous ones, with a more humorous take on the story. See for yourselves:

Brave, set in Scotland, is an animated story of Princess Merida who is determined to break the old custom and make her own path in life. Featuring the voices of Emma Thompson, Robbie Coltrane and Craig Ferguson, among others, Brave is set for a release on June 22nd, 2012.

Also, check out an interesting new clip from Hugo, called “Big Machine”. Hugo will hit the theaters on November 23rd.
