Kristen Stewart, best known for her role of Bella in the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s rampagingly successful Twilight book series, has been offered the lead female role in the upcoming Akira movie. Akira, the movie, will be a live-action adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo’s cyberpunk manga and anime series. Stewart’s role is that of Kei, the young medium and love interest of Kaneda, who will be played by Garrett Hedlund (Tron).
