This Week In Trailers: “Sherlock Holmes”, “Chronicle”, “The Devil Inside”

This week brought us Sherlock Holmes, teenagers with super powers (and out of control), and demons. Lots of demons. Let’s take a look.

The second trailer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows has even more going on in it than the previous trailer. We get a better look at the story and more hilarious bits with Holmes and Watson, as well as some fascinating action scenes. Directed by Guy Ritchie, and starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows comes out on December 16th.

The genre of “found footage” seems to get more and more attention from the film-makers, as we can see from this new trailer for Chronicle, a story of three teenagers developing superhuman powers as a result of a mysterious discovery they make. The trailer looks pretty convincing and somewhat unnerving at that.

The new trailer for The Devil Inside is probably the creepiest this week, full of demons, exorcisms, and more demons. IMDB gives the following synopsis:

In Italy, a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism.

The Devil Inside comes out on January 6th, 2012.

And last but not least, check out the new clip from Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, coming out on February 17th, 2012.
