Star Wars: The Old Republic Finally Gets a Release Date!

Mark your calendars, the wait is over!  Well, almost over.  BioWare has announced both the release date and the three subscription options for their highly anticipated MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Unfortunately, we have to wait until practically the end of the year for The Old Republic, December 20th to be exact.  On the bright side, this stomps the rumors that it may have been pushed back until next year.  Also, for those of you living in various European regions, you can get your hands on it just two days later, on the 22nd.

There are three pricing options that will be available at launch – one month, three month, and six month packages.  Each one of the will be a one time charge and they are similar to what you may find available to World of Warcraft.  Of course, The Old Republic will ship with 30 days worth of subscription time, but after that, it is up to the player to decide how much time they wish to commit to the MMO.

Here’s a complete breakdown of the three pricing options:

  • 1 Month Subscription: $14.99 (£8.99/€12.99)
  • 3 Month Subscription: $13.99 per month (one-time charge of $41.97/£25.17/€35.97)
  • 6 Month Subscription: $12.99 per month (one-time charge of $77.94/£46.14/€65.94)
