Everyone knows how huge Super Smash Bros. has been for Nintendo, and the latest installment, Brawl, was definitely no exception; it sold over 10 million copies worldwide since it launched. Facts like that make it no surprise that the next chapter to this series will be coming out for both the Wii U and the 3DS.
A Smash Bros. announcment this year was thought to be very unlikely because the series creater, Masahiro Sakurai, has been working on his latest hit ‘Kid Icarus: Uprising’ for the 3DS. Rumors poured out all over the internet regarding a much anticipated sequel. Since then, it has been confirmed that Sakurai will be leading a giant Smash Bros. push on both devices and he is very excited about the potential that both games will have.
Although very little information was given, we were told that both games will be able to connect and interact with eachother in some way or another. We are still unsure how they, but it is easy to assume that we will be able to transfer those awesome trophies, stickers, and possibly exclusive items and characters between the two games.
Smash Bros. is the first confirmed Nintendo-made game for the Wii U console, so we are leaning towards it being available at launch. However, being that Nintendo is working on two Smash Bros. games that will likely release back-to-back, they make take some extra time to make sure they are perfect.
