Men In Black director and producer Barry Sonnenfeld and acclaimed comic writer Grant Morrison team up for new graphic novel/movie event: Dominion: Dinosaurs Versus Aliens. Morrison will be writing both the graphic novel as well as the script for the film. You might recognize his name from other big titles such as Batman, the Invisibles, X-men, and many other big series archs.
According to deadline.com: The graphic novel will chronicle a secret prehistoric world war battle. When an alien invasion attacks Earth in the age of the dinosaurs, the planet’s only hope is the giants that roam the planet with, it turns out, a lot more intelligence than previously realized. Sonnenfeld, Rifkin and Devarajan will produce, while Liquid Comics cofounder Gotham Chopra will be executive producer. WME will package the film.
The question of ‘who would win, X or Y’ is age old. Now Sonnenfeld is plugging in two of his favorite variables into the equation. “Growing up, my fascination was all things dinosaur, and as an adult, I’ve had some success making films about aliens, so this is a dream come true,” said Sonnenfeld.
The graphic novel will be published later this year and will be available both in print as well digitally. The artist on this project will be Liquid’s Mukesh Singh.
